bethanyjane > Art > Tattoo Ideas
Pictures to use as inspiration for a tattoo. What I'm thinking about: A tattoo that goes up one side of my back. I like the idea of it being a vine looking structure. As decoration on the vines I'd like one or more flowers (perhaps deriving from wild roses) and maybe a simplistic butterfly. Other possibilities: have it curve around my side at the bottom or maybe around my shoulder at the top? How do I feel about having parts of it be visible? Where would the placement of the flower(s) and butterfly be?

bethanyjane > Sample of an arts & crafts style simple butterfly.
bethanyjane > Front version of same. From this vantage point the "vines" look much thinner. I prefer the thicker look in the back shot.
bethanyjane > This is the best looking "vine" that I've seen. I like the jungly feel but the flowers are too ornate and detailed for me.
bethanyjane > Also like the color of the flowers. Beautiful, but I don't like the drop shadow
bethanyjane > I really like the grace, simplicity and green color here.
bethanyjane > Too busy, but I like the style of this, where forms are simplified.
